    Batteries for witespy quad

OK I'm back with another question. This time its about batteries. So right now I have a 2200mah 11.1 volt and 3 cell ask 29-30c discharge (what does all that mean) and what's the most I can run on my quad I'd like to get a lot of fly time!

Paul, the guy who builds the witespy for Hoverthings, told me he recommended a max 4000mah battery. He didn't expand on why. On their web site, under the Q & A tab, it says a 5000mah battery will give you a flight time of 13 minutes & doubling up 2 5000mah batteries will give you 25 minutes. I believe it's a personal preference thing. If you want to carry a camera on a gimbal then you'd need to limit your battery weight. If you're using a tiny FPV camera you can handle more battery weight. Depends on what you're needs are.

mah is the volume of energy stored, like the size of a gas tank

11.1 volt and 3s is the pack has 3 cells at 3.7v a cell

29-30c is probably 25-30c, c is the measurement of available current. in this case it is 25 amps per 1000mah cont, 30 amps per 1000mah for a limited time. 2200mah 25c is 55 amp continuous available,,,, in a perfect world, on a perfect day. the only real factor other than damage or age is temperature it's operating in will limit that part.

don't know about your heli, but that's the basics of lipos and what they say on them
